Providing oral health devices to sleep apnea patients?
Frustrated with sleep testing required for diagnosis?
Securing a timely sleep test is one of the biggest concerns facing dental sleep practices today. Many testing companies provide no transparency, take weeks to produce a diagnosis and patient satisfaction (and your cash flow) suffers as a result. We built our home sleep test program from the ground up with these issues in mind. We keep you informed through the entire process through screening, testing, and treatment.
Home sleep testing with a personal touch
We handle all administration and customer service necessary to onboard the patient. As part of the home sleep test process we:
- Verify patient insurance coverage within 24 hours of referral (usually the same business day)
- Call patient to schedule delivery within 24 hours of insurance approval
- Hand-deliver and educate patient on device use
- Hand pick up the device and upload the data for diagnosis
- Provide 24-hour patient support
- Deliver the results to you within 5-7 days (subject to patient availability)
We describe our HST service as "concierge" for a good reason. We work fast to ensure your patient gets the most efficient service possible. We schedule by phone then one of our respiratory technician's hand deliver and hand pick up the device to ensure the fastest possible diagnosis. We train the patient on use of the device on delivery and maintain a 24-hour support hotline staffed by trained registered nurses in the event the patient needs assistance at night while self-administering the test.
Hand delivery and pick up allows us to keep our turnaround time at an industry low of 5-7 days, unlike competitor turnaround times which are delayed by shipping.
We use the Watermark ARES home sleep test system. After working with a variety of devices, the ARES was selected as our unit of choice as it is simple to use, with minimal wiring and additional parts, and contains enough battery for two nights of testing.
The ARES is capable of recording and scoring respiratory events during sleep (e.g., apneas, hypopnea, mixed apneas and flow limiting events). After the patient has completed the test, the ClassicSleepcare technician connects the device to an online portal, which transmits the information to a Board Certified Sleep Specialist. Diagnosis and treatment recommendations are then provided to the patient's referring physician.
ARES setup is simple with four easy steps:
For many of our dental partners we also provide:
- Medical billing services for oral devices
- Third party billing and practice management software
- Positive airway pressure therapy setups for your
high AHI patients not suitable for an oral device
