Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome (OSAS) is a common condition among the general population. When severe, it could lead to significant cardiovascular complications. Treatment with Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) completely reverses OSAS as well as its complications.

For most sleep specialists, confirming the diagnosis of OSAS is straightforward; and the challenge is assuring that the patients receive their equipment in a timely fashion. This usually entails the physician sending an order to a DME company, the company getting insurance authorization, setting the patient up with his supplies, and making a follow up on compliance.

Over 10 years of practicing sleep medicine, this process has proved itself to be such a vexing problem until I started using Classic Sleep Care as my preferred DME Company. We have known each other for over three years with no problems. Your support staff is excellent and the technologists who work for you have excellent patient skills. Working with an HMO attitude in the past when sleep equipment was literally dropped off at the patient's door, it is a pleasure to get positive feedback from patients who are grateful for time spent on making sure the apparatus works and they are comfortable both with the mask and the machine. As you know, compliance is the major issue with CPAP and if not done right at the beginning, you have probably lost the patient. With Classic Sleepcare, I lose very few if any patients.
