Before founding Classic Sleepcare with Rob Brough, Robert Fallan was Director of Patient Services with a national DME company. Why did we start our own company? In talking with many sleep labs and patients around the country we determined that many patients were being diagnosed with Sleep Apnea, were given their CPAP or Bi-Level machine, told to "push this button" to turn it on & off, given a pat on the back and told "good luck".
Nobody was there to explain how frustrating or difficult it might be to get used to using their CPAP machine.
Nobody was there to encourage them to stick it out because it's important to their health.
Nobody was there to problem solve with them in the critical first few nights of therapy.
Nobody was there to exchange the mask if it didn't fit right or didn't feel right.
Nobody was there to talk to them six months later if the patient was getting pressure sores on their face, felt their pressure setting on their machine was too high, or just wanted to talk to somebody who understood what they were going through.
